A Winter's Day, a Farmer found a Snake stiff and cold. He had pity on it, and took it up and put it in his bosom. The Snake was quickly revived by the warmth, and resuming its natural instincts, bit the Man who had saved its life. "Oh," cried the Poor Man with his last breath, "I am justly served for pitying a scoundrel."
